The post-COVID-19 era has turned out to be a hidden blessing for India's IT industry. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the growth of IT companies has been remarkable. IT firms of all types have seen a surge in contract opportunities from around the world, resulting in significant increases in their assets and profits.
A prime illustration of success is the establishment of Infopark in 2004, a visionary project initiated by the Government of Kerala. Notably, Kochi is rapidly ascending the ranks as a prominent IT hub within India. This upward trajectory is owed to the recent surge in the IT sector, complemented by the government's proactive endeavors to enhance infrastructure. As a result, Kochi has swiftly evolved into a technological focal point of the nation. Its appeal to corporate entities seeking to broaden their operations in South India is further underscored by the presence of a skilled and cost-effective labor pool, making Kochi an attractive destination for business expansion.
In an effort to bring to light the potential of the city as an emerging IT hub of Kerala, CRN India, a B2B IT publication of The Indian Express Group, in partnership with Dell Technologies and Ingram Micro, organised Transformation Tour, a one-day conference, on 15th September 2023, at Radisson Blu, Kochi
Kochi, often dubbed the "Queen of the Arabian Sea," is experiencing a remarkable boom in its Information Technology (IT) sector. This growth is fueled by a convergence of factors that have made the city an attractive destination for IT companies and professionals alike.
Kochi has invested significantly in developing robust infrastructure, including modern IT parks and office spaces, creating a conducive environment for tech businesses to thrive. The city's crown jewel in this regard is Infopark, a sprawling IT hub that hosts numerous tech companies.
Complementing the infrastructure is a skilled workforce that Kochi proudly boasts. The city's educational institutions and training centers produce a steady stream of IT graduates and professionals, ensuring a talent pool that is essential for the sector's growth. The city's vibrant startup scene is another significant contributor to its IT growth.
