To modernise the IT infrastructure in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India, CRN India, in partnership with Dell Technologies, initiated the Transformation Tour. The Transformation Tour showcases the latest technological advancements that can enable SMEs in the host city to transform their companies, increase productivity, improve efficiency, and enhance overall service delivery. The most recent edition of the Transformation Tour, organised in collaboration with Redington, took place in Indore, the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh.
Indore, a vibrant city located in Madhya Pradesh, has witnessed a remarkable surge in the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in recent years. These enterprises, often considered the backbone of the economy, have played a pivotal role in transforming Indore into a thriving business hub. The growth of SMEs in Indore has been fueled by various factors, including supportive government initiatives, flourishing industrial infrastructure, an entrepreneurial spirit, the adoption of digital transformation, and their substantial economic impact. This sector has not only contributed to the city's economic growth but has also provided employment opportunities and fostered innovation.
Md. Danish Khan, Lead Pre Sales Channel North India, Dell Technologies, kicked off the day with an informative presentation on the topic "To modernize the IT infrastructure".
He highlighted Dell's products by stating, "We provide Live Optics, an online tool that can be used to collect, visualise, and share information about your IT infrastructure and workloads."
While laying emphasis on the paradigm shift in security and helping private and public sector organisations simplify adoption, he talked about the Zero Trust Adoption ecosystem, which brings together more than 30 leading technology and security companies to create a unified solution across infrastructure platforms, applications, clouds, and services.
In his industry presentation, he highlighted the vast product lineup and service portfolio of Dell. “Dell's PowerEdge Servers are purpose-built,cyber-resilient, intelligent, and sustainable, so you can focus on empowering your end users to turn their ideas into a competitive advantage,” he stated.
Moreover, Dell offers'Apex’, an infrastructure that combines on-premises, pay-per-use infrastructure servers and storage with cloud-based managed resources,” added Khan.
Following that was a power-packed panel discussion on "Navigating the Digital Landscape: Strategies for SMBs in India to Embrace Digital Transformation".
Amit Chawla,Director,MCW Healthcare, and Vice Chairman, Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs-MP, highlighted that "Technologies can play a vital role in the pharmaceutical industry, not only to streamline the manufacturing process but also to improve the quality of drugs.";
Ramnath Suryavanshi, Founder and MD, Global FoodTech Consultants, and National Resource Person for FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India), remarked, "Small and medium food processing organisations in smaller cities have not yet realised the significance of technology and digital transformation strategies. There are areas where digital transformation can help these companies do wonders."

Big data and analytics can be used strategically by fashion companies to meet specific requirements and enhance the consumer experience,” said Preity Sarva, Vice President, Textile Association of India (TAI) & Principal, IPS Indore.
