Transformation Tour- Bhopal Chapter

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has made notable achievements in the IT industry in recent years. The city is witnessing a massive growth in innovation and technology adoption such as cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber security, and blockchain.

Enterprises in Bhopal are now looking to accelerate this growth with next generation IT infrastructure solutions around mobility (laptops/workstations/desktops) and data centres (server/storage/services).

To tap the emerging possibilities in the city, CRN India & Express Computer, the two leading IT publications from The Indian Express Group, in association with Dell Technologies, in partnership with Ingram Micro, had organised a mega conference, Transformation Tour, for the Channel Partners operating in Bhopal at Courtyard by Marriot on January 12, 2023.

Featuring insightful keynotes and live tech demos, this exclusive event was organised to deep dive into how one can strengthen partnership with Dell to drive the next chapter of growth and deliver more and more value to the end customers with the help of Dell products and solutions, that will help create a strong foundation for informed, time-bound decision- making.

Modernising IT infrastructure

The session started with an interesting presentation, ‘Modernize your IT Transformation’, by: Md Danish Khan, Lead Pre Sales Channel, North India, Dell Technologies. Addressing the gathering, Khan stated, “Enterprises should leverage advanced and innovative technology solutions and the proprietors need to look at regular updating of technologies, while monitoring and managing the digital infrastructure to make data-driven and informed decisions.”

“IT must focus on driving the value to the company rather than just being an enabler, and to meet these changing requirements we, at Dell, are addressing all the technical needs of entry, mid and large level organisations. Digital transformation is shaping each and every business and technology is impacting the future of businesses.” he added.

While elaborating about Dell’s product portfolio Khan highlighted, “Dell has the best and latest breed of technology and services across the IT infrastructure.”

APEX, a new buying experience from Dell, is a flexible consumption model, with integrated services, secured through an e-commerce portal. Dell also offers Live Optics assessment, where customers can identify and collect data on workloads. Dell’s 'Future Proof' is a public facing program that gives investment protection and complete peace of mind to our users. 'Dell EMC Unity' software is all inclusive. It will help in managing, protecting and storing the data,” stated Khan.

The delegates appreciated the presentation by Dell representatives and were vocal about the company’s seamless service delivery and customer-centric approach.

Manoj Sonkusare, Head of Department, Computer Science & Engineering, S.V. Polytechnic College expressed, “We are seeing a very good future in Bhopal for IT infrastructure, especially in cloud computing. If we get a chance to work with Dell, we must develop a lab with a company like Dell. We really appreciate the efforts Dell has made to bring technology and innovation to our city Bhopal, specially in the education sector.”

According to Shohab Abdullah, Senior Engineering Manager, Information Technology / Cognition Technology Services, Government of Madhya Pradesh, “Dell APEX model is something that excites me. Bhopal City is coming up with metro projects and the IT Department is also working on bringing many IT companies in the state that will actually create a lot of IT space here in the city. The Government has to invest in infrastructure, which ultimately needs IT investments to be done. I feel there is lots of scope in the upcoming changes down the line.”

Similar views were shared by Dr Manish Manoria, Director, Bansal Group, who said, “It was a wonderful event and we are thankful to Dell that they have chosen our city for this Transformation Tour. We are already working with Dell. We are using Dell’s server storage in the organisation and further would like to explore security devices, which is the major requirement of us.”

Sanjay Samuel, Deputy Secretary, IT, Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Sachivalay, stated, “All our servers are Dell based. We have been using Dell for the last five years and we are having an amazing experience. The best part with Dell is that the company has end- to-end solutions and at the same time being a very responsible company, is innovation focused.”

The Transformation Tour- Bhopal concluded on a high note. The delegates expressed appreciation for Dell’s product lines and unanimously agreed that the company has come up with a technology solution for every type of customer. The insightful keynotes and live tech demos will help the customers make informed, time-bound decisions. This event is an opportunity for the customers to explore new growth areas and align with Dell, which has products and solutions that are in great demand and can assist these organisations to frame their growth strategies.
