Building Bharat - Jaipur Chapter

To throw light on the subject and discuss the changing market demands with the rising digitalisation of MSMEs in Jaipur, CRN India, in association with Dell Technologies and Ingram, organised the 9th Edition of the Building Bharat conference in Jaipur on October 21, 2022.

Sandhya MIchu, Special Correspondent, CRN India commenced the conference with a welcome note. While emphasising the significance of IT in transforming the way MSMEs operated, she spoke about digital enablement, changing paradigms towards technology adoption, the importance of cybersecurity, and more. She extended a warm welcome to the speakers and the audience.

The first speaker Md Danish Khan, Lead Pre Sales Channel North India, Dell Technologies took the dais and began with a note that “in the present day world, IT is the business.” While addressing the audience on the theme ‘Modernise and Transform Your IT Infrastructure’ he said, “Around 92 percent organisations look at digital transformation and digital initiatives as a critical element for success. Earlier, organisations looked at IT as an enabler but today IT is not only driving business but adding value to it. Adoption of advanced technologies like automation, AI, cloud infrastructure, etc., is today helping enterprises not only to optimise their operations but also to become more agile, efficient, and productive.“

The process of transformation has three steps - modernise, automate, and transform. Data centre is the new factory. IT can replace traditional business and can make new businesses. Data protection is one of the crucial areas today and for channel partners it could also open up new opportunities., he added.

Shedding light on Dell’s portfolio, Khan pointed out, “Dell offers Cloud IQ that helps you track storage health, predict utilisation requirements, and detect anomalies. It also raises alerts if an unusual activity occurs on Dell's hardware that is deployed by the customer.”

APEX is Dell's new buying experience where the customer has to pay as per its usage, he added. Further, Khan presented the wide array of storage and data centre solutions that Dell offers.

He said, “We offer a cloud-based data backup service on subscription basis for small customers. Also, there is a complete portfolio of cloud-based data backup solution for bigger customers.” Dell Live Optics is a tool that helps with complete MRI scanning of customer infrastructure including cloud. This tool is complementary, and can also be used to analyse workloads of brands apart from Dell as well. Another unique solution from Dell is Cloud IQ. This tool helps the customer to track storage health, predict utilisation requirements, and detect anomalies, he added.

To address the gathering on ‘Embrace the future of work’, Ashish Sethi, Channel Manager, Dell Technologies took over the dais. He said, “Dell offers products ranging from our Optiplex series of desktops to our Latitude series of commercial laptops. The technology provider also has a Rugged series of laptops on offer. These are military grade laptops and are capable of functioning in extreme temperatures and work environments.”

To cater to the changing market demands as the hybrid work culture settles in, enterprises are investing heavily in upgrading their IT infrastructure to cater to the changing requirements. Dell has 3000 series, 5000 series, and 7000 series of workstations on offer. These cater to not only those working from home or office but also for small and medium enterprises. Moreover, for small enterprises, educational purposes and home use, Dell offers Vostro series of laptops.

The conference catered to over 45 attendees and ended on a high note. The attendees spoke highly of Dell’s product lineup and shared their views on the digital transformation of MSMEs in Jaipur and its impact on the city’s economic trends with the CRN India team. Dhiraj Vijayvargiya, Chairperson IT Committee, FORTI said, “We have started an IT wing that will help small and medium enterprises to adopt better IT infrastructure to track the growth trajectory of their businesses. We're also running awareness programmes for small entrepreneurs regarding digital transformation.”

Today IT has become an essential and inevitable part to drive business to growth. Conferences like Building Bharat play a key role in making the SMEs aware of the technology advancements in the market. So they can identify the best solutions based on their requirements and adopt IT to boost their businesses, he added.

Vikas Tak, Associate Director, Girnar Soft said, “After Covid a lot of IT developments have been witnessed in the city. Moreover, as digitalisation rose, enterprises started leveraging mobile for digital payments, bookings, tracking deliveries, service updates, and more. We can say that the digital revolution has not just given a facelift to the enterprises but transformed the way these small organisations operated.”

Further Tak said that his experience with Dell products has always been good. He is presently using a Dell laptop and mentioned that many computers being used in his firm are of Dell. He appreciated the product lineup presented by Dell speakers.

The ninth conference in the series of ‘Building Bharat’ held at Jaipur ended on a high note. The delegates expressed appreciation for Dell’s lineup of products and were in consensus with each other on how Dell has come up with technology solutions that cater to every type of customer - ranging from the industry’s first 15th generation server Dell’s EMC PowerEdge to the industry’s most preferred storage solution, Dell’s Unity. Dell’s wide portfolio is one of its biggest USPs and a major reason why the company is a market leader.
